over the age of 18.
Some of the classes offered in this section are also available to teens.

| Abstract Art
Instructor: Elizabeth Hill
Ages: 13+
Dates: (4) Tuesdays, November 2 - November 23
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Cost: $70 members/$80 non-members
Students will learn about the varied styles and methods associated with Abstract Expressionism. Each lesson will cover a different Abstract Expressionist, including Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and Helen Frankenthaler. This class will explore the different ways to put paint to canvas and what makes splatters of paint Art. Most of the class supplies are included, but students will need to bring paint brushes (synthetic bristles, various sizes from ½“ - 2” in width).

Cost: $115 members/$125 non-members (per couple)
Bring your partner and learn to dance for the upcoming events in your life. We will learn the Foxtrot, Waltz, Swing, Cha-cha and Merengue so you can join the fun at parties, weddings and other social events. It is essential that all participants wear shoes with either leather or man made soles. No sandals or sneakers please. Students must enroll as a couple, and may enroll in more than one session.

Students will learn or improve their pottery skills using the potter's wheel as a tool for creating functional and decorative pieces. The class includes up to four hours a week of extra studio time. (Payment plans available.)

| Beginning Oil Painting

Dates: (6) Tuesdays, September 7 - October 12
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Cost: $100 members/$110 non-members
Students will learn the basics of oil painting, including arranging a small still life and mixing oil paint to produce the correct colors and tones. Each week will build on the skills acquired in the previous week. By the end of the class students will have one finished painting and two studies. Most supplies are included in the cost of the class, but students will need to bring their own paint brushes. (Bristle brushes preferred.)

Take your workout on an exotic journey through the art of Belly Dance! Work your core and your mind while learning belly dancing basics. This empowering, feminine workout is designed for all fitness levels. Participants should bring three yards of sheer fabric for a veil, and are encouraged to wear hip scarves.

| Introduction to Caligraphy
Instructor: Ann Warren
Ages: 13+
Dates: (8) Tuesdays, September 7 - October 26
Time: 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Cost: $80 members/$90 non-members
This class will cover the basic mechanics and techniques of the calligraphy pen and ink. We will cover several simple scripts including medieval, Victorian, and some Chinese and Japanese characters. The class also includes a small introduction to illumination and embellishments to go along with the scripts. Students are encouraged to wear an apron to protect their clothes.

| Lithography

This course will cover basic principles of Lithography on stone. To include: graining stone, drawing image on stone, etching image on stone, pulling trial prints, and creating an edition of prints. Students need to bring a couple of cellulose sponges to keep the stone wet during washout and pulling of prints. | The Potter’s Wheel (session 1)

Yoga combines postures and breathing techniques used for exercise, stress management and relaxation. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat.
