Volunteers

The Carnegie Arts Center loves our volunteers!  Our volunteers help with managing our pottery studio, organizing fundraisers and benefits, and raising community interest and awareness about the Arts.

Volunteers also help the Carnegie's staff take care of the day-to-day business of the arts center, including running errands, janitorial work, and some grounds keeping.  Volunteers also help out at events - making root beer floats for the Greater Leavenworth Student Art Show, baking cookies for student recitals, and giving tours of the building during the Open House in August.  Occasionally, volunteers will work in the office while staff members attend the National Guild of Community Schools for Arts Education conference in the fall.

Volunteers have the option of picking and choosing the area(s) in which they would like to work.  (i.e. once a week, once a month, specific events, etc.)  If an specific area is not in need of a volunteer at that time, the volunteer has the option of working in another area until a space becomes available.

Volunteers may work as individuals or as part of a group.  Previous group volunteers include the Leavenworth Master Gardeners, the Boy Scouts of America, and the 40th Military Police Battalion USDB (Ft. Leavenworth).

If interested in volunteering at the Carnegie Arts Center, please contact the
